After completing a full-stack web development bootcamp, I have leveraged skills to build on and enhance websites for both product and service-based companies. Combining technical expertise with a keen eye for design, I focus on translating designs into responsive, user-friendly code while optimising for SEO and performance. Skilled in collaboration and communication, I aim to deliver solutions that align with both user needs and business goals.
As a front-end developer for MALI Homeware, I spearheaded a full website refresh, migrating their site to a carefully chosen Shopify theme optimised for custom coding and regular updates. The project included redesigning the homepage with interactive sections showcasing new collections, blogs, and brand values, along with an enhanced designer trade page to appeal to a core client segment. Each change was tailored to align with the brand’s identity, optimise user experience, and drive conversions, while ensuring responsiveness across screen sizes.
Currently a project in progress, as a front-end developer for a small charity organisation I was tasked to undergo a complete website refresh, focusing on creating a professional and user-friendly experience on their WordPress platform. With a goal to drive more donations and increase participation in hosted events, I’ve started by designing a mockup for the homepage that emphasises modern aesthetics, intuitive navigation, and clear calls-to-action aligned with their mission.
As part of a collaborative team of 3 during my coding bootcamp, we developed a web application that allows users to input their emotional state, activity category, and location to receive personalised recommendations for engaging experiences. My role focused on back-end development using Ruby on Rails, along with contributing to front-end features in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Additionally, I collaborated on the design in Figma and played a key role in formulating the database schema to ensure a seamless user experience.
